Chef Loomis is the executive chef at FEED Table & Tavern, located in the historic Chattanooga’s Seed-Feed Supply Company. He previously was the chef at 1885 Grill, a southern coastal restaurant in St. Elmo.
He began his career in Washington D.C working his way up in the restaurant industry there. Through a relationship with a customer, who would soon open up an organic food grocery store chain called GreenLife, Loomis made a move to Asheville, North Carolina to assist in the specialty store’s launch. From there, Loomis was an integral part in the opening of GreenLife here in Chattanooga. “At first I thought I wasn’t ready to move, but after coming to visit Chattanooga I knew this is where I wanted to be,” he says.
After settling in Chattanooga, he returned back to the restaurant industry by becoming a chef at 1885 Grill upon its opening and remained there for the next two years. It was after that when he and owner/partner Miguel Morales decided to open the FEED Table & Tavern.
